Meet Frances Browne
Acupuncturist | Chinese Medicine Practitioner | MAP Coach
Frances’s journey into natural medicine began in her twenties when frequent, debilitating headaches inspired her to explore holistic health solutions. This personal experience sparked a complete lifestyle transformation and a new career as an acupuncturist and Chinese medicine practitioner on the Central Coast NSW.
She started her studies with Massage Therapy and Shiatsu at Nature Care College before completing a Bachelor of Health Science in Acupuncture at the University of Technology Sydney (UTS) in 2001. Frances’s passion for Japanese acupuncture — influenced by her Shiatsu background — led her to advanced postgraduate training in Manaka Protocols, Kiiko Matsumoto’s Clinical Strategies, Shonishin (paediatric acupuncture), and Toyohari. Her education has taken her across Australia, Japan, and China, and she continues to deepen her expertise through ongoing seminars and study groups.
Frances’s treatment approach is gentle, intuitive, and highly personalised. Combining Traditional Chinese Medicine with specialised Japanese acupuncture techniques, she emphasises subtle, precise, and non-invasive methods that support the body’s natural healing process.
In 2022, Frances relocated with her family to the Clarence Valley, NSW, where she completed a Master’s degree in Chinese Herbal Medicine and became certified as a MAP Coach. This certification enables her to support emotional wellbeing and mindset transformation alongside physical healing.
Frances believes that true healing comes from nurturing the whole person—mind, body, and spirit. In her coaching sessions, clients can expect a compassionate, supportive space where they are empowered to release limiting beliefs and cultivate lasting wellbeing.
Now back on the Central Coast, Frances warmly welcomes clients to her Erina clinic, where she provides holistic care tailored to each person’s unique needs.
